INERT BUILDING MATERIALS IN CIMADOLMO: THE COBBLESTONE EXPERTS

This is the typical stone easy to encounter when walking along the Piave riverbed. With its round shape and smooth surface, its colour varies from dark grey to pearl white. 

Its different shades make it perfect for the creation of unique and original pavings. It is often used for city paving, squares or streets.

Cut stone can be regarded as a modern version of cobblestones. Piave stones are cut and

laid like normal tiles.

The flat part, where the cut is made, is very comfortable and is ideal for flat surfaces. It is a

very functional and comfortable solution.

The cubes originate from a special processing of Piave pebbles. The pebbles are stripped of

their rounded ends and thus made flat on both sides.

They are ideal for paving high traffic areas such as streets and squares.

The 'spaccato' consists of Piave pebbles with a so-called split face, the result of splitting the original pebble into two parts. 

Usually this product is used for the composition of walled facing, but it is also suitable for outdoor paving.

Marble is a crystalline, compact rock. It owes its name to its polished appearance; in fact, the word 'marble' in ancient Greek means 'shining stone'. 

Its particular texture depends on a change in shape due to factors such as temperature and pressure.
